Got a sensitivity cube?

Submitted by Robin Brandenburg on Fri, 11/18/2011

Do you remember the games Scrabble, Simon, and Yahtzee? With Hasbro's Wonder-Link technology, these games have taken a high tech spin, and will only set you back about $20. Scrabble Flash, Simon Flash, and Yahtzee Flash, by Hasbro, feature tactile cubes with special sensory mechanisms. For those desiring an even more "Intelligent Play", check out Sifteo Cubes. These 1.5-inch, motion-aware blocks feature full-color screens that wirelessly connect to a computer and can be shaken, tilted, rotated, and clicked to play a variety of games. Now, think about how these cubes could be used to support math, music, and more...or watch this TED Talks video of David Merrill demonstrating Siftables. HIs talk is from 2009! This technology is here--now.
