Science Moves In on Sesame Street
Did you know that Sesame Street's upcoming 42nd season will include segments on science for the very first time? Premiering on September 26, 2012, PBS Kids will debut STEM curriculum that encourages preschoolers to say, "Let's Find Out!"
This timely announcement, of course, comes as STEM continues to be a hot topic across the entire learning industry. States (and school systems) are striving to help American students become more competitive in science-based career fields—including technology, engineering and math.
Educators agree that kids should be exposed to STEM topics early and often. And now, PBS is showing their support.
