About Kris

Kris Van Horn

AVP, Higher Education Partnerships

Kris Van Horn brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education and program management to his role at Six Red Marbles. He is proud to collaborate with higher education leaders in developing best-in-class online courses and degree programs — focused on growing the mission of SRM's partners while creating real avenues for accessibility, career pathways, enrollment expansion, and revenue growth.

Kris began his career with Apollo Education Group, where he developed partnerships with colleges and universities seeking growth through optimized program design and enhanced admissions, marketing, and enrollment initiatives. He went on to lead in-market business development and operational efforts at Helix Education and Risepoint, ensuring partner program offerings were tightly aligned with employer demand and workforce development trends in healthcare, nursing, enterprise, and K–12.

A lifelong Chicago area resident, Kris lives with his wife and three teenagers. He holds a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and an MBA from Olivet Nazarene University.
