Kris Van Horn

Kris brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education and program management into his role as AVP, Higher Education Partnerships.  Kris is proud to collaborate with higher education leaders in developing best-in-class online courses and degree programs focused on growing the mission of SRM’s partners while creating avenues for accessibility, career pathways, enrollment expansion, and revenue growth.

Kris started his career with Apollo Education Group, where he developed partnerships with colleges and universities seeking growth via optimized program design, as well as enhanced admissions, marketing, and enrollment growth initiatives and processes. He continued his work with Helix Education and Risepoint, initiating new partnerships with institutions while also leading in-market business development and operational efforts to ensure partner program offerings were optimally aligned with employers and workforce development trends in healthcare, nursing, enterprise, and K–12.

Kris is a lifelong Chicago area resident, where he resides with his wife and three teenagers. He completed his undergraduate degree at Illinois State University and earned a MBA from Olivet Nazarene University.
