IT Systems & Integrations Administrator

Remote | Reports to CFO | High visibility with CEO & SRM Leadership

Position Overview

Six Red Marbles is an educational content and services company with teams in the US, India, and UK. We’re looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator who can own our technology environment end-to-end: keeping systems running and secure, building integrations and automated workflows between platforms, and helping us figure out how AI fits into how we work.

This is a true SMB generalist role. You’ll manage our Salesforce instance, build API connections and automated workflows, handle escalated support our MSP can’t resolve, and partner with teams to evaluate and roll out better tools, including AI. Half your time will be keeping things running. The other half will be making things better.

Our MSP handles Level I support and device fulfillment. You’ll own Level II/III escalations and manage the MSP relationship including SLAs and performance reviews. You’ll also run discovery sessions, hold office hours, and help people adopt new tools. The best person for this role can explain a SharePoint permissions change to a project manager and then turn around and debug an API integration.

Why This Role Is Unique

  • You’ll own the full stack at a growing company with direct access to the CEO and CFO
  • You won’t be siloed: you’ll touch Salesforce, Sage, Wrike, Microsoft 365, Power BI, and the automation flows that connect them all
  • You’ll help shape SRM’s AI roadmap, not just execute someone else’s vision
  • You’ll work across US, UK, and India teams, giving you a global operational perspective

Primary Responsibilities

IT Operations & Escalated Support (~50%)

  • Serve as Level II/III support for issues escalated by our MSP, including cross-system troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Manage the MSP relationship: set and monitor SLAs and coordinate on escalations
  • Administer and maintain core systems: Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Salesforce, Wrike, Sage/ERP, and approved SaaS tools
  • Own onboarding/offboarding workflows and access management across all platforms, and look for opportunities to automate repetitive steps
  • Improve SharePoint/Teams/OneDrive structure to increase findability and reduce friction
  • Identify recurring support patterns and build automated fixes and self-service solutions
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of systems, licenses, integrations, and access
  • Keep an executive-friendly view of IT health
  • Ensure systems are secure, and reliable; support incident response as needed

Systems Integration, AI Enablement & Tooling (~50%)

  • Build and maintain integrations and automated workflows between business systems (e.g., Salesforce flows, Salesforce-to-ERP data sync, Power Automate or Zapier/Make workflows, project management tool APIs)
  • Run discovery sessions with teams across Admin and Delivery to understand how work actually happens and where tools can help
  • Maintain a prioritized improvement backlog and an executive-approved AI/automation roadmap tied to measurable impact
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new tools and AI capabilities. Get hands-on, build proofs of concept, and roll out what works.
  • Partner with vendors on tool rollouts, configurations, and training
  • Offer office hours and daily help windows to support adoption across the company
  • Stay current on AI developments and help SRM understand what’s real, what’s hype, and what’s worth investing in

Desired Qualifications

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Hands-on problem solver: You’d rather dig into an issue yourself than pass it along
  • SMB generalist mindset: You’re comfortable context-switching between admin work, a support ticket, an integration build, and a team meeting in the same day
  • Strong communicator: You translate technical concepts and build trust across teams
  • Self-directed learner: You pick up new tech on your own and enjoy figuring things out
  • People-centered: You genuinely enjoy helping others and approach internal customers with empathy
  • Ownership mentality: You take initiative instead of waiting for direction
  • Curious about AI: You’re already hands-on with AI and excited about what’s next

Experience and Qualifications

What You’ll Bring
Required

  • 2–5 years of experience in IT systems administration, tech ops, or a similar hands-on technology role at an SMB
  • Experience administering Salesforce (or a comparable CRM/business platform)
  • Experience building Salesforce Flows, Power Automate sequences, or similar no-code/low-code automation
  • Experience building integrations and automated workflows between systems (APIs, Salesforce Flows, Power Automate, Zapier/Make, middleware, or custom scripts)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin (Entra ID, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience serving as escalated (Level II+) technical support
  • Demonstrated hands-on experimentation with AI tools in real workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred but not required
