Back to In-Person Conferences: 2022 ASU+GSV Summit Reflections
Apr 28, 2022
Six Red Marbles had a great time attending the 2022 ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, CA, from April 4 to 6. It was a rich, impactful conference, and we really enjoyed being in-person again and getting to meet so many wonderful people.
What Is ASU+GSV?
ASU+GSV started in 2010, with only 200 attendees, as a collaboration between Arizona State University (ASU) and Global Silicon Valley (GSV), to “connect the leading edtech minds focused on transforming society and business around learning and work.” These days, 6,000 people from around the world attend this exciting annual conference.
ASU+GSV says their north star is that all people have equal access to the future through technology.
This Year’s Summit
Attendees had access to hundreds of panel-format sessions on dozens of topics by key industry titans and entrepreneurs. Topics included how to reach the best student outcomes through data-driven processes, new software, and better online options, as well as other forward-thinking and even disruptive topics such as blended learning in public high schools being approved nationally for funding.
In addition to providing learning opportunities, ASU+GSV is a hugely important conference for start-up edtech companies to have meetings with potential investors—their attendance is free! These meetings are great opportunities and have resulted in many success stories.
